Birthing Center

St. Luke's was the first Duluth hospital to offer a birthing center. Now the accepted practice for hospitals nationwide, birthing centers offer expectant parents a home-like environment where they can experience their baby's birth.

Our birthing center has private suites where families can share in labor, delivery and recovery. We want your birth experience to be meaningful and satisfying and a healthy beginning for your baby. Everything we do here is to help you be as relaxed and comfortable as possible before, during and after the birth of your baby.

A traditional delivery room is available for the rare complication that requires special treatment. Cesarean sections are performed in surgical suites.

Experienced nurses offer post-delivery and baby care education tailored to meet your needs. There's no such thing as too many questions. Why does my baby sleep so much? Is crying that loud bad for him? Am I supposed to be this tired? They're questions we've heard countless times-we even asked a few when we had our own children-and that's why we can put you at ease.

Tours
